I envy you, Nacha! You have a lot of things to take pictures of in NYC!! This is a great shot. They guy has a friendly face, let's hope he gets some business. And the B&W conversion shows it off beautifully.

And I particularly like it that Barnes & Nobles bookstore is just behind him. I have to go to one of the local B&N stores here tomorrow. You just reminded me smile
Nacha Kama: Glad this reminded you...Hurry now smile
Thanks anyways!

A fine street shot. I like the guy's expression. The walkers behind give the shot a live feel that is attractive. Nice one.
Nacha Kama: Thanks Don!
A street scene full of local character well rendered in B&W. The partly hidden person in the skull cap is a fine indicator of locality.
Nacha Kama: 'ppricate your comment Teng Tan!
This shot completely embodies the heart and vibe of NYC to me. Spectacular.
Nacha Kama: Thanks Dave!

When I take them,I become to be nervous...
Nacha Kama: miu* with street shots you have to be brave, bold & friendly....This is to show how freindly we are in NYC. wink ... sometimes when they see you with the camera (SLR) they approach you 1st and it makes it easy....tomorrow I will post another shot of a friendly guy that approcahed me. Sometimes you yourself need to approach them with different techiques wink

Great street portrait, in France we call them "Homme sandwich" that's mean "sandwich man", lol
Perfectly suited for B&W, great street portrait indeed, but the man has something of begging in the way he looks. Instead he should have something of a bringer of good news: the best kosher shawarma bar in the world! I'm curious about the man behind him: is he going to get one of these delicious shawarmas?
Interesting contrast in head gear.
This is certainly a great street shot. I like this very much. For some, it may not matter at all, but I'm a total fanatic when it comes to burnt out highlights. I would have underexposed a bit -- perhaps 2/3 of a stop -- to have that detail. Still excellent for the aproach and content.
i like this b&w, great city action.
