you chose the right man to inspire you. Malick Sidibe is the man! A few years ago I got a book that had his studio portraits of people from his village and town and they were out of this world. I feel the same about this image.

Wonderful pose and composition. And she is gorgeous. That helps.
The processing brings out the skins tones perfectly.

That's a gorgeous portrait, nacha. What a coincidence, just a few days ago I was at the Malick Sidibe exhibition at the High Museum of Art, where also watched a video about his studio.

I can't put my finger on why, but this pose somehow reminds me of photos from indigenous villages. It contrasts sharply with the surroundings and accessories for a mesmerizing shot.

A quoi rêve t-elle cette jeune femme? ;-)
Good choice of sepia.

Although I really am not a fan of this type of posed shot, it has been well executed and composed excellently.

The pose and the subject is great. Good one overall.

I think the background adds too much detail and the foreground may have been less. Otherwise this pic could have gone upscale to excellent.
Elle est belle dommage le lampadaire au dessus de la tête !
Wow, she looks terrific. Classy. Nice contrast with the bancony/rooftop environment.
Not posting often?
You do post regulary.
You can post this girl everyday as far as I'm concerned smile

A fine image. I especially like the subtle gradations of tone throughout the image giving it a very smooth, attractive appearance. Excellent work.
