photoblog image FIVE FINGERS!

FIVE FINGERS!

3rd Image in my Portfolio

Meet Prof. Boon. So another capture in central park, I photographed her as one of my people shot and plus she was coaching me on a few lessons on how to work with my camera and focusing. So we played around a little bit, and here obviously you see what I focused on....

This 5 full fingers is a kind of a bad saying where I come from, my country to be precise...we call it "WA KA"....dunno how to explain it but it's more on the insulting side...lol

                                                                       This frame: Canon EOS K2, 35mm Film - Fuji Neopan 400, Filter 2, f.8, 20secs (Test Strip 10secs each)

A nice fun shot. How are you enjoying the darkroom experience?
Nacha Kama: The Darkroom + Expreiment + Processing = Goodness
I enjoyed it. Thanks!:d

see you on top...This is very creative.
Nacha Kama: Thanks Man!
It's good to see your work in a traditional format. I love doing darkroom printing. The final object is itself a sculptural 'thing'- and it shows the character of whatever process is used on whatever surface in strange and subtle ways.
Nacha Kama: True. Traditional and stressful process but fun too. Glad to have that experience cos it only makes me appricate digital more.
Thanks for stopping by.

All that...and the DOF is super, NaCha!
Nacha Kama: Thanks Granny!
Dramatic candid with fine tinting.
Nacha Kama: Thanks Tan!
bon pour le focus mais l'image manque un peu de contraste à mon gout
Nacha Kama: Merci....
A striking image. I thought it was really someone refusing to be photographed before I read your explanation. I like it a lot.
Nacha Kama: Thanks
very powerful (this think in greece is for saying bad thinks for the person you do it)
Nacha Kama: It's a bad saying where I'am from too....
Wonderful shot! Intereting taht you can't see the person because of the hand! Great shot.
Nacha Kama: Thanks

I also have friends where this is insulting in the country. Nice shot all the same.
Nacha Kama: Thanks!
The count is right: five! In Central Park, you could as well have gotten one middle finger sticking out!... lucky you!
Nacha Kama: LOL...
Image intéressante, créative et originale jusqu'au bout des doigts ....
Nacha Kama: Merci dan

I'm glad she wasn't a walker-by who didn't want you to take her pic. smile
Very nice image...nice use of the depth of field! Quite an aggressive gesture in many places but you are forgiven!

classic but very nicely done! have fun!
Digital is great...I'm not knocking it. It's just that I find it limits some choices.
i like it...i can see how it'd be used to teach composition and dof.

Like the agression in the stance, a good capture.

I really enjoy making the British equivalent, the other side of the hand with the index and middle finger up! Inspired by this I may try a shot of a V!
hehehehe...also in Nigeria not a gesture u want to be at the receiving end of....
