photoblog image TWO! #2

TWO! #2

Look Again! Tell me what you notice LOL! So I met another Set in the City, 42nd St. It was difficult to capture this as some us might know that 42nd St. is extremely busy, am glad there was no passbys at the Background. They were very cooperative cos I needed a spot with light to shoot them as you see it was night time and thank God we found a good spot! friendly too I will add. Aren't they Beautiful? After Prof. Boon assigned us to read on one of the Fine Art Photography Masters: Diane Arbus ... Nacha became inspired by her  style, work & famous Photograph shot 40yrs ago, 1967 to be precise - IDENTICAL TWINS. I must say that photographing the world's most desperate children is a blessing. I love it.

This Image, I dedicate to my childhood friends who are twins as well: Taiwo & Kehinde Talabi, Odion & Akehere Aghedo, Janet & Comfort, Chioma & Ifeoma Chime, Taiwo Taiwo & Kehinde Taiwo (aka KT Moneeeey). And to add my friend, Yonce's mom & Aunty..

None of the twins I know hang out together. It can't be easy to find them wandering around in the streets. This is impressively well lit given that you shot this at night.
Nacha Kama: The ones I know are always together...Like the ones I mentioned. Thanks Martin smile
I got my first camera the year after Diane Arbus Committed suicide. She was one of my favourites at the time and still ranks very highly with me.
Nacha Kama: I must tell ya! I was quite sad when I read that part of her bio. She is on my top list of Photographers that inspire me. So do you still have that camera?wink
I love it! Excellent in every way. (I'm wondering why the gil's shoulder on the left side is suddenly out of focus. Doesn't look natural to me, but it's such a small part of the image that it's easy to ignore.)
Nacha Kama: Thanks!
Wonderful find, ChaCha, and well captured under challenging circumstances. Very distinguished street series you have going.
Nacha Kama: M3Rci Tan!

Lovely portrait! The two different expressions of these identical twins are adding to the athmosphere and the power of this shot...
Though identical, they are individuals still!

I have totally gotten my education on Diane Arbus today, Nacha. I did not know a thing about her, I'm sad to say. So thank you for the link.

What incredibly beautiful identical twins! I would be very honored if I ever met and got to know them!
Nacha Kama: Am Glad you now know about Diane A Granny!...I will be illustrating a few shots and the Photographers we studied about here, so they will be more. Beautiful they are! I hope you meet a set soon!
Thanks!

Your people shots have become something to look forward to. Excellent again. The background worked with you and added to make this picture very viewable.
