photoblog image NNENNA #2

NNENNA #2

Nnenna Again!!!!  Another capture of her, after pretending to be Nigel Barker  LOL!! (She Laughed). Nigel Barker is one of the judges on America's Next Top Model - ANTM and as some of you may know he's a fashion and celebrity photographer. He sure does NAIL the images he captures. Ok so back to Nnenna.... I decided to set this image to Albumen, (popularily used from 1855 - 1890) to look historic, since she made history in the "BANKABLE PRODUCTION PROFILE."  This is what captured images looked like in those days, and as technology advances only God knows what processing would be used in  year 2099.

WE ARE PROUD OF NNENNA FOR MAKING HISTORY.

Interesting treatment and yes 2099 - I cannot even begin to think. Perhaps some folk will be simulating digital photographs tho' ;o) Mike

great portrait ChaCha ... love the eyes!
Nacha Kama: Thanks Crash!
I suppose you intended the shadow on the wall and the shine on her face from the flash to simulate the historic feel of the image. Nevertheless, the model is beautiful and the overall effect of the photo is very pleasing to my eye. Her face, expression and the way she exudes life are captivating.
Nacha Kama: Thanks for such a wonderful comment Gavin!

My mind works like - if you are going to albumen or sepia and intending the picture to look old, the the subject must fit in. This is a young vibrant woman dressed modern, so I feel the treatment doesn't fit. I have also noticed that 26 other comments don't think the way I do smile

The portrait is very good, it is just that I feel it would have been better in B&W.
Nacha Kama: I appricate your opinion to this image Louis. I shot it in Blk & White...but didn't work for me the way I wanted to present it...however thanks for your comment anyways!
A fine character portrait making good use of the sepia tone.

Beautiful portrait with a good processing.
Very interesting and nice blog, nice post-processed. Bye
I really like the actual capture itself, and your model looks great. I just find that the processing gives this a sort of flat quality. I would personally prefer to see richer looking tones with more of a feeling of depth, and without the burnt out highlights. This is just conservative me, though, and the image certainly has its merits.
Nacha, you have made a treatment here very interesting. It really seems a very old photography. Good work!

Great portrait. Great model[1], good posing, and excellent decision for post processing. The scarf is an excellent point of contrast and makes the compposition.

[1] she reminds me of a woman I knew when I lived in Antwerp. Still a great choice of model even allowing for that.
très beau portrait!!!
